The City of Murray, in collaboration with the Murray Art Guild, is excited to present Art Hop 2018. This is a free event where you can experience a variety of art in nine exhibitions at seven locations - all in Murray. iLove the Arts when I can hop around town.

Paducah has Fantastic Fibers

The Yeiser has an incredible international exhibition starting this week that you do not want to miss. This is not just another quilt exhibition, my friends. There will be amazing and very interesting fiber art on display of every variety imaginable. Fantastic Fibers is just one of the reasons that iLove The Arts!

A Quilt is Made of Pieces

The Piecemakers Quilt Group will be holding their annual exhibition at the Icehouse again this year. This important exhibit of work by some of the region’s best quiltmakers has become a popular events. It coincides with the annual AQS Paducah Quilt Show, and they receive visitors from around the world. iLove The Arts at the Icehouse!


Western Kentucky is truly a hub for the performing arts. The McCracken County High School Fine Arts Department is no exception. They’re excited to present the musical...HELLO, DOLLY! It’s all happening next weekend at the C-Plant Performing Arts Center located on campus. MCHS always does a stellar job, and this production is sure to be a huge hit. iLove The Arts when our local high school students are behind them!

The Age of Miracles

On March 13 & 14, WKCTC welcomes to their campus Karen Thompson Walker, author of the New York Times bestseller “The Age of Miracles”. Her visit is part of their annual One Book Read program. Meet Walker and check out the winners of both the photo competition and the social media contest. It’s all happening at the Clemens Theatre. iLoveTheArts at WKCTC!

Be a part of Murray State tradition and go see a magnificent performance at The Murray Shakespeare Festival. They’re celebrating 18 years with two daytime performances of Shakespeare's famous tragedy of Macbeth.  Oh how I iLove The Arts when Shakespeare is involved! To be here or not to be here; there is no question!

Paducah on my Mind

The art therapy program at Easter Seals Western Kentucky is renowned for its innovative art and wonderful staff. Some of the art created by the students and adults who participate in the program will be on display in the lobby of the US Bank building in Paducah. iLove the Arts in our area because creativity has no boundaries.

For the Love of Jerry

Jerry Watson was one of the Yeiser Art Center’s founding members. He passed away in 2014, leaving a body of work that is both varied and interesting. YAC is holding a sale of some of Watson’s amazing work. It will be a unique opportunity to purchase some of Watson’s cherished art. iLove The Arts at the YAC- especially when I can purchase it!

One Book – One Lens

WKCTC is gearing up for its One Book Read program that will culminate with an author visit this March. To help promote this amazing literary event the college is running several contests. The photo competition is underway and there’s still plenty of time to submit an entry. Psst…it comes with some superb prizes! iLove the Arts especially through a lens!

Living the Dream in Technicolor

Murray’s Playhouse in the Park is presenting Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat next week. It's a reprise of their wildly successful 2004 show and you do not want to miss this. iLove The Arts especially in technicolor!
