iLove The Arts

Paducah on my Mind

The art therapy program at Easter Seals Western Kentucky is renowned for its innovative art and wonderful staff. Some of the art created by the students and adults who participate in the program will be on display in the lobby of the US Bank building in Paducah. iLove the Arts in our area because creativity has no boundaries.

For the Love of Jerry

Jerry Watson was one of the Yeiser Art Center’s founding members. He passed away in 2014, leaving a body of work that is both varied and interesting. YAC is holding a sale of some of Watson’s amazing work. It will be a unique opportunity to purchase some of Watson’s cherished art. iLove The Arts at the YAC- especially when I can purchase it!

One Book – One Lens

WKCTC is gearing up for its One Book Read program that will culminate with an author visit this March. To help promote this amazing literary event the college is running several contests. The photo competition is underway and there’s still plenty of time to submit an entry. Psst…it comes with some superb prizes! iLove the Arts especially through a lens!

Living the Dream in Technicolor

Murray’s Playhouse in the Park is presenting Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat next week. It's a reprise of their wildly successful 2004 show and you do not want to miss this. iLove The Arts especially in technicolor!

Extension of Thought

WKCTC is hosting an exhibition from one of Paducah’s most-beloved artists, Ruth Baggett. "Extension of Thought brings together two distinct traditions - southern storytelling and Tibetan prayer flags - to remind each of us of our common path and shared future This “ladder” of books tells its own story and is visually stunning. iLove the Arts in Paducah!

A Perfectly Imperfect Picture

iList loves to find one-of-a-kind art events in the area. How about enjoying an adult beverage and having a professional tintype portrait made? You heard correctly! A tintype, or melaintype photograph - just like Civil War soldiers had made before going off into battle. iIntrigued -well read on! Love The Arts…especially when it revisits our past.

A Classic for Christmas

The Market House Theatre is bringing author C.S. Lewis’ amazing tale to life. The Lion, The Witch and The Wardrobe is a classic that MHT is proud to present. iLove The Arts especially when it showcases a children’s classic!

Teen Spirit

Each year, Yeiser Art Center looks forward to their Teen Spirit Exhibition. It’s a partnership with regional high school and home-schooled students, their teachers and parents. The level of talent and the variety of art is amazing - you do not want to miss it! iLove the Arts from our teens.
