A Grand Season of Beautiful Music

The PSO 2017-2018 Season

Your Paducah Symphony Orchestra (PSO) opens a very grand 2017/18 season this Saturday, September 9 at the Carson Center.

"The programming this season is incredibly diverse,” PSO Executive Director, Katie Smith told me. “It will appeal to a broad range of music lovers. The music will be such a treat as the quality of the orchestra this season is remarkable.”

Opening Night

Maestro Raffaele Ponti conducts Leonard Bernstein’s overture to Candide, embarking on an evening filled with both nostalgic sounds and new ones to many ears.

Gershwin’s beloved Porgy & Bess (symphonic picture) celebrates opening night with some of the composer’s most enduring melodies. The First Symphony by Italian composer Giovanni Sgambati brings this concert to a close with fresh romanticism.

Make the evening special and join other concert goers at a truly southern dinner, themed on Porgy & Bess. This will be held at the Grand Lodge in Paducah on Saturday evening at 5:30.
