For many people, autumn is a favorite season – a time to enjoy crisp evenings, cozy bonfires, and bright colors. It also means the return of Oktoberfest in Paducah. This annual fundraiser for Maiden Alley Cinema has become a staple of fall fun in the area. iLove It when there’s beer, sausage, & dance all one fun festival!

40 Years of Hunters Moon

For many years, the village of Grand Rivers has celebrated their community with the Hunters Moon Fall festival. This well-known regional festival features food, crafts, a flea market and children’s games and activities. There’s also a Little Mister and Miss Pageant, children’s Halloween costume parade and awards, live music and dance in Little Lake Park, and a big parade. This festival is celebrating its 40th year, and iLove It!

The Zombies Are Coming

On three different Saturdays this October zombies are going to be infest the Purchase Area. Being part of the walking dead is not everyone’s cup of tea, but around iList we love us some Zombies! Get your zombie makeup and tattered clothes on and hobble on over to these exciting zombie walks. iLove It when the zombies are out and about!

Thriller on Broadway

Marci Paris of BarreEvolution and Brandi Bone of Soirees Events Center need your help! They are creating an awesome street dance in the midst of this year’s Paducah Zombie Walk. They are putting together a flash mob of zombies to perform Michael Jackson’s “Thriller” but they need your help. iLove It when zombies have rhythm.

Racing the Dragons

Get ready for a little Chinese culture in Paducah! The River Discovery Center announces the 6th annual Paducah Dragon Boat Festival. The festival will be held at Paducah’s riverfront on Saturday, September 23 from 9am - 4pm. You can watch the amazing races, get some lunch and watch the Drummer fashion show! A fun family event by the river – iLove it!

Get your fiber fix at Fall Quilt Week

Area residents are used to Quilt Week in the Spring and, starting this year, we also have Fall Quilt Week. The American Quilter’s Society will host the first Fall QuiltWeek from September 13 to 16. More than 600 quilts will be on display, and you don’t want to miss it! iLove It when quilts are king!

Flooding, house fires, tornadoes, and crippling ice storms can change our landscape and leave our families vulnerable - as Hurricane Harvey has reminded us all! September is National Preparedness Month and to commemorate the 100th anniversary of the American Red Cross in our community, the local chapter is reaching out and offering tools so your family is ready for future disasters. iLove It when I can be prepared!

Hidden Treasure Beneath the Bluegrass

Have you ever seen someone walking along a beach or a in a field with a metal detector? Ever wonder if they find anything? Well, people have been looking for “buried treasure” since they could dig with a stick! Metal detectors have made finding buried items a fun and interesting activity. iLove It when I find hidden treasures! And yes, there’s a local club for that too!

Bark in the Park

Marshall County Animal Care and Control is hosting their annual Bark in the Park event next week. It’s held in conjunction with Marshall County Family Week in Mike Miller Park. This event has it all…affordable vaccinations, free microchipping, food and lots of activities for the whole family! iLove It has gone to the dogs...and cats!
