Power of the Purse

April 10 is Womens' Equal Pay Day. Its also the date of this year's Power of the Purse. Recent U.S. Census Bureau data shows women working full-time, year-round make 80 cents for every dollar a male earns. Women need to be encouraged and empowered to gain their full value in the workplace. iLove it when I can have a great lunch, bid on purses full of goodies, and support a great cause!

It's an Easter Eggstravaganza

Easter is this Sunday, and that means that children all over our area will want to hunt for eggs. Since Easter is on April Fool’s Day this year, you could send your kids out to hunt for eggs that you didn’t hide, or you could simply use this list we compiled of hunts near you! iLove It when the kiddos are hunting for eggs at Easter!

Pub Crawl for a Cause

/Every year on March 17 the Irish (and Irish at heart) celebrate the patron saint of Ireland, St Patrick. What began as a religious feast day has since evolved into a celebration of Irish culture, dancing, singing, food ― and a whole lot of shamrocks, leprechauns and green beer. A brand new event in Paducah is jumping on the bandwagon to help you celebrate safely – and build a home for Habitat for Humanity. Green beer - iLove It!

We’re All Irish on St. Paddy’s Day!

St. Patrick’s Day is one of our favorite holidays. Who doesn’t love a holiday that promotes drinking green beer? The Carson Center is ramping up for the fourth annual O’Carson Irish Bash featuring good music, green beer, and even better food. There’s no potato famine happening at this event! iLove It four years in a row!

Helping Feed Our Community

One in four Kentucky children lacks access to healthy meals. Many families struggle to afford three meals a day. These statistics drive local artist Michael Terra to coordinate the Empty Bowls Project of Paducah. Since its inception in 2009, the Project has raised nearly $150,000 for Paducah’s Community Kitchen. iLove It when filling my bowl means I’m helping others.

A Sweetheart Serenade

It’s Valentine’s Day, and love is all around. Graves County High School is hosting a new event honoring St. Valentine while showcasing some of the amazingly talented students in their Arts department. iLove It when I can be surrounded by musical love!
