For the past eight years the LTAMF has taken over the Lower Town Historic Arts District in Paducah. It's a weekend of live music, craft beer, local food and art in all its forms. This year its organized by The Yeiser Art Center, YAC as it's affectionately known, is continuing the commitment to honoring and presenting the culinary, artistic, and musical talent of the region.
LTAMF has grown to become a premier festival that boasts a family-friendly environment and brings a major economic impact right here in Paducah. The festival has spawned a number of pre- and after parties extending the event itself to a whole weekend of fun!
This year, they are kicking things off festival-style with a Street Party on Broadway! This event will take place on Thursday, May 17th, from 7 – 10 pm between 5th and 6th Streets - in front of the Historic Columbia Theatre. Organizers are working with Leadership Paducah Class 31 and their friends over at the Columbia Theatre to bring you a very special free event.
There will be live music by Peachy Mae & Dylan LeBlanc, food by CARTEL, Paducah beer by Dry Ground Brewing & Paducah Beer Werks and special guest West 6th Brewing from Lexington.
Donations for the Yeiser Art Center and the “Save the Columbia” project will be taken at the event.
The first of the after parties will be held at The Juniper Room at Smedley Yeiser, located at 533 Madison Street. This event is free, and you must be 21+ to attend.
On Friday night The Howlin’ Brothers will be performing. The Howlin’ Brothers are a Nashville based string band composed of Ian Craft, Dan Swan and Jared Green. Anchored in a bed of old-time blues and bluegrass, their upbeat shows are heavy with original and traditional music, featuring the sounds of slide banjo, harmonica and old-time fiddle.
Then on Saturday night, the Solid Rock’it Jug Band will take the stage. They are no stranger to Paducah, and their show is sure to bring the house down!
Paducah Beer Werks, located at 301 N 4th Street, will also be hosting an after party. There will be a $10 charge at the door. These events are open to all ages.
On Friday night, they will be hosting The Savage Radley, Liz Cooper & The Stampede, and Wombo.
Wombo is opening the after party on Friday. They are based out of Louisville, with Sydney Chadwick bass and singing, Cameron Lowe guitar, and Joel Taylor drum .
‘Brace yourselves: Staring At Trees’, the debut EP from Wombo is out now. The noise these folks make isn’t easy to describe, but what’s evident is the band impressively blends healthy doses of punk, funk and psychedelia making for a more than interesting listen. It’s certainly worth mentioning that the band features the killer vocal stylings from none other than Sydney Chadwick, who formerly sang and played guitar in The Debauchees.
On Saturday, they will be hosting the Quiet Hollers, Leonard The Band, and Ona on stage.
Ona will be closing out the second day of after parties. Ona is an indie-rock band comprised of longtime friends Brad Goodall (keys), Bradley Jenkins (vocals/guitar), Zach Johnston (bass), Max Nolte (drums), and Zack Owens (guitar).
The band formed in late 2013 and are based in Huntington, West Virginia. Ona’s debut record ‘American Fiction’ reached critical success appearing on NPR best of lists, SIRIUS Radio airplay, and a spot on nationally syndicated radio program Mountain Stage.
