The Lower Town Arts and Music Festival has become one of the signature events that Paducah hosts every year. Last year it became a fundraising event for the Yeiser Art Center (YAC), giving it a new purpose and opening up even more possibilities to showcase local art.
The Festival is organized by a dedicated cadre of volunteers and they work on it literally all year long. The “Halfway to Lower Town” event is a celebration of their work and the perfect time to get involved in the festival. It does indeed take a village to bring this event to life!
Information on volunteering, performing, booth space, and sponsorship will be available at the Halfway event Wednesday, November 22nd, hosted by Dry Ground Brewing Company, located at 3121 Broadway in Paducah. LTAMF merchandise will be available for sale and prizes will be given away to those who sign up to help with the 2018 festival.
Music starts at 7:30pm with a songwriters’ round featuring Melanie Davis, Haleigh Martin, and Daniel Neihoff. Following the songwriters' round, delta folk band The Savage Radley will perform.
The Lower Town Arts & Music Festival (LTAMF) is a premier two-day celebration of the art, music, food, beer and wine from the region surrounding Paducah. The growing festival takes place in the Lower Town Historic Arts District close to Downtown Paducah. LTAMF is fun for all ages, honoring and introducing the culinary, artistic, and musical talent right here at home. In 2018 the event will take place on May 17-18.
Shaped and inspired by the American south, The Savage Radley is the brainchild of Shaina Goodman, a Kentucky -raised songwriter and delta farmers daughter whose music stomps, twangs and bangs with all the power of her homeland.
