The Baptist Health Heart & Heels Fashion Show is always a big event, and organizers are hoping for a lot of attendees this year. In 2017, they raised nearly $36,000 for patient services and enhanced technology at the hospital. The 2018 Heart & Heels fashion show is scheduled for Friday, March 16, at The Carson Center. Shopping begins at 6 pm, in the lobby with the show to follow at 7 pm on the stage.
This is the third year of this event in this format Heart & Heels was originally a small luncheon on the hospital campus. Three years ago organizers decided to revamp this event. They moved it off campus and held it in the evening so that they weren’t constrained to the one-hour time limit of a lunch break.
The Ray Black & Son’s Runway will be filled with the latest styles and looks from Dillard’s, Jaded Layne, Chico’s, The Dirt Road, The Treasure Tree, Simply B, Cabi, Ribbon Chix and Maclaran Manor. They are brought to you by the 2018 presenting sponsor Strawberry Hills Pharmacy. Chris Black is this year’s event emcee.
Part of the fun at the Show is the shopping! Come early so that you can browse all the great merchandise from the displays that will be set up in the Carson Center lobby. They will include Signature Boutique, BBQ & More, The Treasure Tree, Strawberry Hills Pharmacy, Flowers & Furbish, Maclaran Manner, Ribbon Chix and Frostings by Icy.
The Hearts & Heels event is designed to be much more than just a fashion show. There will be fun games throughout the event with opportunities to win great door prizes, including a pair of diamond earrings generously provided by Michelson Jewelers.
Those attending can dine on a large selection of hors d'oeuvres courtesy of the dining sponsor, Paducah Bank. In addition, each participant will receive one free signature drink courtesy of sponsor, Credit Bureau Systems. A cash wine bar also will be available.
Each guest will receive a beauty bag filled with goodies, courtesy of sponsor The Skincare Corner at Wellsprings Dermatology and other items from Baptist Health Auxiliary.
Several of Baptist Health staff will be among the models wearing the latest fashions on the Ray Black & Son’s runway. There will be several younger physicians including The Men of Baptist!
Tables of 8 ($1000) and individual tickets ($40 each) are still available and can be purchased by contacting the Foundation. Tickets must be purchased in advance. Funds raised through this event are used to meet some of the most immediate healthcare needs of Baptist Health Paducah. Through donations from events such as these, the Foundation has been able to fund the relocation and expansion of their Baptist Sleep Lab. They have doubled the space from two to four sleep lab beds, and provided a more serene atmosphere conducive to sleep testing.
Additionally, the Foundation has equipped a physical therapy room on one of the patient floors and installed phone charging stations for the patient waiting areas. Funds have also been allocated for training and equipment of the new neonatal transport services.
