Sometimes we all just need a good laugh. If you agree with that sentiment then iList has the event for you. This weekend Paducah Beer Werks presents the third annual Battle of Paducah: A Contest of Comedians. All of your favorite local comics will be on hand to battle it out vying for the funniest of the funny. iPlay so much better when I’m laughing.

Game Ready

Many kids want to participate in high school sports but find they can’t afford all the equipment or uniform. The McCracken County Mustangs and the Paducah Tilghman Tornados have a program called Game Ready. They’re collecting gently used sports gear at their home games on December 16 so everyone can play. iSupport this initiative that helps kids get in the game!

Yule Light Up the Night

The McCracken County High School Running Boosters has a seasonal fundraiser for their cross country and track & field teams. For the second year in a row, Noble Park and Paducah Power have graciously allowed them to hold a Christmas fundraising run under the beautiful light display in the park. iPlay under the lights in the park to get me in the Christmas spirit.

Message in a Bottle

The River Discovery Center is hosting a unique exhibit called Message in a Bottle. The exhibit features rare ‘message in a bottle’ memorabilia...items filled with raw, human emotion that have been found along the Mississippi River and other U.S. rivers. This is part of the work of 2013 CNN Hero of the Year, Chad Pregracke, the Living Lands & Waters crew and the many volunteers. iPlay with messages in a bottle!

It's a Capitol Christmas...Again!

Every year, a different national forest is selected to provide a tree that is decorated and placed on the West Lawn of the U.S. Capitol for the Christmas season. The Kootenai National Forest, in partnership with nonprofit Choose Outdoors, will bring this year’s tree from Montana to Washington, D.C. for the 2017 season. It will stop at more than fifteen communities along the way, including Paducah. iPlay with the Capital Tree.

Wildlife, Heritage & Outdoor Festival (WHO)

One of the joys of living in western Kentucky is the plethora of opportunities to enjoy local wildlife and the outdoors. The Friends of Clarks River have partnered with several local organizations and businesses to host a new family-oriented festival that will celebrate our wildlife, heritage and more! iPlay in the woods, lakes and rivers!

Surround the King!

Many claims are made for the benefits of teaching chess to children, but they are probably best summed up by the slogan of the US Chess Federation: “Chess Makes Kids Smart”. The supporters of chess education argue that it is a great way for children to learn about fair competition, mental discipline, planning and perseverance. This year’s chess season is underway…iPlay chess, but I bet these kids can beat me!

SOKY Bowling Tournament

Special Olympics Kentucky is gearing up to host its annual Region 1 bowling tournament this coming weekend at Cardinal Lanes in Paducah.
