Herb Appeal is an annual luncheon and lecture hosted and prepared by Extension Master Gardeners (MCEMGs). This year, it features a healthy combination of familiar foods complimented by cilantro. Paducah Parks & Paducah City officials opened the brand-new Fountain Avenue Health Park on June 16. A lot of people are already taking advantage of this amazing facility. If you haven’t been to see it yet, don’t wait another minute longer! iPlay at this phenomenal park that also promotes health!

Racing the Dragon!

The Grand Rivers Dragon Boat Festival will be held on the shores of Kentucky Lake on July 15. This family-friendly event raises money for charity and will include local and regional teams racing against each other in a series of heats. iPlay on dragon boats because is promotes team-building skills and it’s a lot of fun to watch.

BAM! Bikes Around Mayfield

The Kiwanis Club of Mayfield will be holding their annual BAM! Bicycle tour This July 4th, Independence Day. What better way to celebrate our country’s independence than to jump on a bike and enjoy the outdoors. iPlay on bikes, then I enjoy the fireworks!

Most of us have heard of ham radios, but many probably don’t know anyone who still uses one. I bet you also didn’t know that there is a club at Murray State that uses them to talk to other enthusiasts all over the world. If you’re an amateur ham radio user or are interested in becoming one, then this event is for you. “iPlay with my radio on.” 

Stay Afloat at the Paducah Regatta

Are you a creative builder? Do you think like MacGyver and believe that duct tape can fix anything? If so, then we have the event for you! Paducah Parks Services is gearing up for their annual Paducah Regatta. Using only cardboard and duct tape, participants race the clock to make a boat that won’t sink. iPlay with duct tape – sure hope its waterproof!

A Super Celebration with a Super Bike Ride

Metropolis will come alive this weekend with its annual Superman Celebration. In the midst of all the Superman fun you’ll find the Metropolis Kiwanis Superman Bicycle Ride. This is the 30th year for the amazing ride through historic Massac County. Grab your cape and bicycle helmet.  iPlay a superhero on my bike all the time!

Spokes for Strokes Bike Tour

More and more folks in this area are biking for fun and fitness. We’re excited to get you out on two wheels and enjoying the countryside at this year’s Spokes for Strokes. This Baptist Health fundraiser is raising awareness and funds to save lives and expand local stroke care services. That’s why iPlay on my bike and want you to ride too!

Project-Based Trivia Night at GCHS

A class at Graves County High School was introduced to project-based learning this year. They had a great experience and are now raising money for their end-of-year field trip! iPlay finds out about project-based learning and helps these smart kids have some fun. They are hosting a unique trivia night and giving you a chance to show off your brain power. iPlay better with a healthy dose of trivia competition.
