Paducah’s 48 Hour Film Project is just around the corner! Filmmakers from all over the Purchase Area will compete to see who can make the best short film in only 48 hours. Do you think you can accept this challenge? How about seeing those innovative short movies once they’re finished? Herb Appeal V - The Brassica Connection

Herb Appeal is an annual luncheon and lecture hosted and prepared by Extension Master Gardeners (MCEMGs). This year, it features a healthy combination of familiar foods complimented by cilantro. Paducah Parks & Paducah City officials opened the brand-new Fountain Avenue Health Park on June 16. A lot of people are already taking advantage of this amazing facility. If you haven’t been to see it yet, don’t wait another minute longer! iPlay at this phenomenal park that also promotes health!

Racing the Dragon!

The Grand Rivers Dragon Boat Festival will be held on the shores of Kentucky Lake on July 15. This family-friendly event raises money for charity and will include local and regional teams racing against each other in a series of heats. iPlay on dragon boats because is promotes team-building skills and it’s a lot of fun to watch.

BAM! Bikes Around Mayfield

The Kiwanis Club of Mayfield will be holding their annual BAM! Bicycle tour This July 4th, Independence Day. What better way to celebrate our country’s independence than to jump on a bike and enjoy the outdoors. iPlay on bikes, then I enjoy the fireworks!

I bet you also didn’t know that there is a club at Murray State that uses them to talk to other enthusiasts all over the world. If you’re an amateur ham radio user or are interested in becoming one, then this event is for you. “iPlay with my radio on.” 

Stay Afloat at the Paducah Regatta

Are you a creative builder? Do you think like MacGyver and believe that duct tape can fix anything? If so, then we have the event for you! Paducah Parks Services is gearing up for their annual Paducah Regatta. Using only cardboard and duct tape, participants race the clock to make a boat that won’t sink. iPlay with duct tape – sure hope its waterproof!
