Hello Summer

Celebration at Mike Miller Park

Are you ready to welcome in summer fun at Kentucky Lake? Then the Hello Summer Celebration is the place to be. And yes, there is such a thing as a free lunch! Come get yours at Mike Miller Park in Draffenville on Friday, May 25 from 11am-2pm. Lunch is grilled hot dogs, chips, cookies, & bottled water.

“The summer season is a big deal to Kentucky Lakers like us! Our Hello Summer Celebration kicks-off the fun we look forward to all year,” event organizer Sue Grimm, from Park Avenue Properties Real Estate, told me. “It’s an open invitation not just to our friends and neighbors but to visitors here to enjoy Memorial Day weekend at the lake. Come for the free food; stay for the fun!”

This is the 2nd year for the event with about 125 in attendance last year. The event is sponsored by Park Avenue Properties Real Estate. They use this time to connect with current and past clients as well as their friends, neighbors and visitors to the lake area.

Enjoy live music and a comfortable afternoon under the pavilion. Live music will get you up and moving to the sounds of Garett Todd, a young artist from Marshall County. He plays guitar & keyboards, and sings a variety from country to classic rock. He plays often at JP’s Bar & Grill, Doe’s Eat Place and Dam Brewhaus.

You can also register to win one of their seriously awesome prize packages totaling over $1,500. Organizers will be giving away $25 gas cards throughout the event and guests can register to win one of their prize packages, each valued at $250 or more.

Included are a “Front Porch Makeover” package including a bistro set, welcome mat and variety of porch decorations and a “Camping Essentials” package that includes a tent, grill, cookware and more! For the gentlemen there is the University of Kentucky prize package featuring a variety of UK game day gear. There will be plenty of other items to win.

Set your reminder and meet everyone at the main pavilion in Mike Miller Park on Friday, May 25th!
