Thinking about adding a four legged friend to your family? Then we have the event for you. Head on down to Chip Wynn Motors this Saturday, July 1st. There will be dogs and cats available for adoption from 10:00 am to 1:00 pm. These fully vetted pets will be from Project Hope Humane Society in Metropolis, Illinois and the Humane Society of Marshall County in Benton.
This will be a family friendly event with music, food available for purchase, giveaways, and a chance to win tickets to an upcoming Family Series show at the Carson Center in September. WKYQ is slated to be there to do a live remote with tunes for all. Paducah’s newest food truck Boss Burrito will be there serving their amazing food.
Chip Wynn Motors contacted Missing Bella about hosting the event.“As the owner of five animals, including four rescue dogs, events like this are near and dear to my heart,” said Chip Wynn, owner of Chip Wynn Motors. “My hope is that people come out and help support these wonderful organizations. I look forward to many of these types of events in the future.”
“The shelters seem to fill up going into the summer.,” said Lisa Lauck, President at Missing Bella. “We are excited to co-host this event with Chip Wynn and help find new homes for deserving pets.”
What’s an event without a raffle? They have four tickets to see 2012 America's Got Talent Winners, Olate Dogs, at the Carson Center on September 21st and a gift certificate from Texas Roadhouse.
Amanda Burk with Trailhead-Gypsy will be onsite doing 10-minute chair massages for a $5 donation to Missing Bella as well.
Have you ever considered what would happen if you became injured away from your home? How would rescue workers or hospital staff know that you have pets alone at your house? How would they notify a friend or family member to come care for your pets? Even if they did notify family, have you designated a specific person to come care for your pets if you become incapacitated? That’s why "My Pet is Home Alone" emergency cards for your wallet will be given away at this event. A little peace of mind in knowing that your pets will be taken care.
