This year’s Touchdowns And Tunes Tailgate Party will be held on Labor Day weekend - Saturday, September 2. Bring your family down to the War Memorial Stadium in Mayfield. This day long event will include amazing musicians, NFL football live on a giant screen and guest appearances by National Football League stars George Wilson and Keenan Burton.
Tickets start at just $17 and parking is free! To purchase tickets, click here.
This event was the brainchild of Bryan Kent who grew up in Mayfield. He wanted to bring a festival to his hometown that would stimulate the economy and promote the town. “This event is my baby from dream to execution,” Kent told me. “I have high hopes that it will become an annual event that brings people from all over our area. We are hoping that businesses make enough money from the event to cover their expenses for several months.”
In addition to organizing this event, Kent is a country musician. He grew up listening to the music of Restless Heart and is pumped to be able to play in this festival with them.
Kent is most excited about having Operation Troop Aid on site. There will be stations set up where folks can help build care packages for overseas troops, have their picture taken, and then add it to the package.
Event Organizers have put together an amazing group of musicians and bands who will be entertaining the crowds all day and all evening! See country music star Cody Johnson, Restless Heart, Bryan Kent, Steel Union, Anthony Smith, Lynn Hutton and Tammi Kidd. Many of these award winning singer-songwriters plan to meet and mingle with their fans at the event.
In addition to live music, the festival will include a football fan experience - the weekend's football games will be broadcast live on-site. Concert-goers can meet and greet NFL stars George Wilson and Keenan Burton who will be signing autographs. The revenue generated from the celebrity autograph sessions will be donated to Project ALS. Amnio Lateral Sclerosis (ALS) is a brain disease that is closely related to Parkinson’s, Alzheimer’s, and Huntington’s.
Food and beverages vendors will be on hand to make sure you have all you need for tailgating fun!
Concertgoers are encouraged to make a financial donation to Operation Troop Aid® (OTA), the event’s hand-selected military charity. Staff members will be available onsite to collect donations.
