Held at the Paducah Tilghman Chad Gamble Tennis Center. The Middle School league play will be on Monday nights at 5:30 pm from September 18 – October 30.
For tennis players in Grades 5 – 8 (age 14 maximum) who are interested in playing against other Middle school aged players. There will be separate flights for Beginners and Intermediate/Advanced players. Teams competing in the Intermediate/Advanced flight will be eligible to play in the Middle School Tournament in Louisville on November 12-13 at the Louisville Indoor Racquet Club. You must be a member of USTA to register for the Intermediate/Advanced division. But, you do not have to join USTA to play in the Beginners division.
The Middle School League program is sponsored by USTA and is geared toward providing an opportunity for Jr Team Tennis style match play based on individual School teams and/or combined teams for smaller Schools without enough players to field a complete team. A team must have 6 players (3 boys and 3 girls minimum). Sign up even if you are the only player from your school interested. You will be placed on a team and be able to compete.
Once teams are generated, then a schedule is set up for schools to play one another in a round robin format over the course of 7 weeks. Match format is the same as Jr Team Tennis matches. 1 Boys singles, 1 Girls singles, 1 Boys doubles, 1 Girls doubles and 1 Mixed doubles.
