Need something to do when you are more stuffed than the turkey and not wanting to deal with the Black Friday crowds? The National Quilt Museum is open all weekend! Friday and Saturday from 10 am-5 pm and Sunday from 10 am-1 pm.
Check out their new exhibit, "Motion", from the Contemporary QuiltArt Association. From their website: Motion is a key concept in design. By combining elements such as line, shape, and texture that make the eye move over the work, an artist can convey motion. Movement can be suggested visually through repetition, directional lines, placement of objects, diagonal lines, and gestural lines. A symbolic representation of movement can create an exciting abstract composition.
