Paducah Live Music Guide

Heading out for a night with friends and refreshments? Chances are, you'd like a little live music thrown into the mix. When it comes to live performances inside and out, Fat Moe's offers the best of both. In cold weather, you'll warm up as musicians take to the cozy indoor stage. In nicer weather, let loose in the beer garden, while hot performers, like Tony Logue (above), break in Fat Moe's brand-new outdoor stage.

Here's a list of our favorite Paducah live music venues — along with key contacts for bands interested in performing. Are we missing any of your faves? Let us know and we'll add them to the list!

Club Plush
1200 North 8th St.
994.2829
myspace.com/clubplushky
Paducah's newest nightspot has it going on! From the Rhythm and Poetry shows on Thursdays at 8 p.m., to the DJs spinning hip hop, rap and R&B on Fridays and Saturdays, you'll always find a good time at Club Plush. Top live acts featured about twice a month — check the MySpace page for details. Wanna perform? Call 994.2829 or 994.9339.
Club DV8
2118 Bridge St.
575.1995
myspace.com/dv8paducah
Everybody loves 'em some DV8! This always lively and colorful venue is looking to book live bands for the beer garden on Saturday nights. If you're in a cover, pop, top 40 and even retro band and would like to perform, reach out over MySpace or call 575.1995.

Doe's Eat Place
136 Broadway
443.9006
ilistpaducah.com/does.html
Doe's owner Paul Signa just started booking regular musicians for Thursdays and Fridays, starting around 7 or 7:30 p.m., and Sundays around 6 p.m. Enjoy the classic rock sounds of John Tate, while singer/songwriter JP offers his latest tunes. If you want to be added to the mix, call Paul, 443.9006.
Downtown After Dinner
Broadway from Water to 6th streets
7-10 p.m.
paducahdowntown.com
For six blocks of live entertainment, it's hard to beat Downtown After Dinner. Every Saturday night, enjoy performers like Ed & Elaine Jones, Greg French, Timeless Blues, Adjusting to Sound, NoaZark, Andy French & Julia Watkins, HollerHead and more, along with Paducah Quick Step Cloggers, Magician Sam Cremeens, Su-Su the Clown and Tango the Clown. Add to that horse-drawn carriage rides, classic cars and the Paducah Area Painter's Alliance, and you've got a fun night. Through mid-September. Free.

Etcetera Coffeehouse
320 North 6th St.
443.7760
myspace.com/etccoffee
Along with fun drinks and totally hot customers and staff, you'll find live local and traveling musicians Saturday nights at Etcetera Coffeehouse. Shows start around 7 or 7:30 p.m., with occasional shows during the week as artists travel through the area. Check out the calendar on Etcetera's MySpace page. The coffeehouse features a range of music, including acoustic folk, electronica, country and soul. During nice weather, bands perform on the back patio. Wanna play? Reach out through MySpace or call Jean, 443.7760.

Fat Moe's Bar & Grill
902 Broadway
442.6637
myspace.com/fatmoes
Lew Jetton. Alonzo Pennington. The Tommy Akers Band. The Craig Russell Band. Partial Post. When it comes to live music indoor and out, Fat Moe's Bar & Grill rocks every weekend and often during the week. Bands perform at 9 p.m. Friday and Saturday nights, with acoustic musicians often on Thursdays. Classic rock is always popular here — but Fat Moe's welcomes any musician who can create a good vibe and get the crowd up and dancing. Priority goes to local bands, and there's never a cover charge. Don't miss the new outdoor stage! And look for the bar's expansion, coming soon! "We like to make local music as accessible to our customers as possible," says Kelly, who books the talent. Email her at fatmoespaducah@comcast.net or through MySpace.

Grand Rivers Street Dance
Grand Rivers Little Lake Park
7-10 p.m.
270.362.0152.
Heading to the lakes area? Get your groove on in Grand Rivers. Held every Saturday night, the Grand Rivers Street Dance features bands like Tabitha and Southern FRY'd, Classic Waxx, Critical Condition, Nyte Flyte, Vintage Alley Dance Band and Heart and Soul Band. Through Labor Day. Free, though the bands appreciate donations. Download the PDF!

Jeremiah's
225 Broadway
443.3991
Under new ownership, Jeremiah's offers great food (the best legs in town), great drinks and definitely great performers. Start your week with Open Mic Nights on Tuesdays at 8 p.m. Weekends are for bands, usually around 9 or 10 p.m. Look for Miss Dahn & the Misters on July 4 and July 19, and Bawn in the Mash on July 31 and August 22. Jeremiah's welcomes a wide range of music. Reach out to Diana, 443.3991, if you'd like to perform.

Knights of Columbus
3028 Jefferson St.
443.3480
You can often catch local punk bands Teenage Rehab, Middle Class Trash and others at the KC Hall. Watch for their fliers and MySpace bulletins. We also list 'em in our iList Paducah calendar.

Renaissance Restaurant and Lounge
3100 Broadway
442.2363
Excellent food and atmosphere — plus the Renn brings in amazing bands like Jennifer Fox & the Pillow Fighters, Kerosene and The Joe Walker Band. Hear rock, blues and jazz around 9 p.m. each Saturday, and a DJ spinning '80s tunes on Fridays. Interested in performing? Call Leslie, 442.2363. Renaissance rocks, especially with great drink specials and a super nice outdoor garden stage.

Ristorante di Fratelli
211 Broadway
442.7054
difratelli.net
Di Fratelli is experimenting with live music on occasion, including great sounds from Tony Logue. So stop by, have a few drinks and some great food, enjoy the music and jump in as all the Super Hottie McHot Hots carry on their fun and flirtatious conversations. Wanna play Di Frats? Email Brian Steffen.

Silver Saddle Saloon
1 Executive Blvd.
443.8000
jrsexecutiveinn.com
Let's just be honest. The Big E has had a tough time recently, no doubt about it. But the live music continues to rock at both the Silver Saddle Saloon and JR's Pub, including great acts like Tabatha and Southern FRY'd. Look for live music there on Friday and Saturday nights.

45 Down Under Bar and Grill
1952 Lone Oak Rd.
534.4662
DJ Cooter Brown spins dance music on Fridays and Saturdays, but you'll occasionally hear live music at 45 Down Under. Jennifer Fox & the Pillow Fighters are on tap in August. If you're interested in performing, too, call Aaron, 534.4662. As the former lead singer for Monkey Finger, Aaron is eager to bring in live bands.
