The Murray Art Hop has been going for several years now and is always a fun evening filled with many different types of art. This event will be held on April 21 from 5-8 pm and all the locations are free to the public.

Locations are spread out and the best way to see all the art is to drive around or ride Murray Calloway County Transit. Two buses will be running a loop throughout the evening. You can jump on a bus at any beginning location of your choice.

This event is a partnership with Murray State University with the support of Town and Gown Partnership.

Seven Locations of Nine Exhibitions!

Murray Art Guild

At 500 North 4th Street you will find the Murray Art Guild. “Their current exhibition is a display of art from both Murray Middle School and Calloway Middle School,” explained Cindy Chrisman, current Murray Art Guild Board Member. “This exhibition of their student work includes lots of different types of art including photography and paintings.”

Gallery 109 & Fairbanks Studio

Located at 109 N 3rd Street, the gallery is owned by a local artist, Jennifer Fairbanks. During the Art Hop there will be a showcase of her recent work and her students' work.

18th Flamingo

The gallery is located at 113 South 4th Street. It will feature a selection of Corvette illustrations and paintings.

Calloway County Public Library

The library is at 710 Main Street. They will have a special exhibit for the Art Hop in their meeting room. You Be the Judge: Quilt Lovers of Murray Show. The library will also have live performances by a group called The String Stretchers.

Clara M Eagle Gallery

Their are several exhibitions located in the galleries of Murray State University. They are located in the Price Doyle Fine Arts building.
Visual Affinities is being presented at the Mary Ed Mecoy Hall Gallery
BFA/ B.A./B.S. Senior Exhibit will be located inside the Upper Gallery
Annual OMAS Juried Student Art Group Exhibition can be viewed in the Main Floor Eagle Gallery

Wrather West KY Museum

The Wrather West KY Museum is also located on MSU campus at North 16th Street and University Drive. Their current exhibition is called Visual Evidence 2018. It is a regional juried exhibition. There will be an awards presentation at 6pm the evening of the Art Hop.

Curris Center Gallery

On the first floor of the Curris Center at MSU is the Curris Center Gallery. Their senior exhibit this year is Bound by the F* Word. It show cases the work of senior Shelby Clark.
