The Art Guild of Paducah is hosting an art soiree on January 4, 2019. This event takes place from 5 - 7pm and will display the works of featured artists Charlotte Erwin, Bettie Griffin and Cathy McElya. There will be wine and lite hor d’oeuvres as well as live music by the acoustic trio of the Ike Brothers. And, of course, wonderful art!

Charlotte has been a full-time studio artist since 1975. A painter, printmaker, and mixed-media artist, she first learned marbling at the Folk School. She has a 30-year history of juried exhibitions, gallery representation, and teaching, and her work has been included in "Arts Across Kentucky," "Southern Living," "Preservation," and "SkyWest" magazine. Charlotte has taught all ages, from children to seniors, in workshops, schools, colleges, and universities. She maintains a studio and gallery with husband, Ira, in the Lowertown Arts District in Paducah,
Bettie Griffin & Cathy McElya
Bettie Griffin will show her jewelry. Unique originals crafted from polymer clay offer a whimsical option. Handmade beads and figures with small, funky portraits for the neck or ears. Cathy McElya is a glass artist whose work includes fusing, lampworking and slumping. She takes a mixed media approach in her artwork.

The Art Guild of Paducah has a Gallery and Gift shop in downtown Paducah on the west side of Market House Square (S 2nd St). The shop features a wide variety of beautiful and affordable art and craft works hand made by Guild members in nearly any price range. Your purchases support local artists as well as providing important operating support for the Guild.
You will find dozens of great gift ideas for weddings, birthdays, anniversaries, house warming, and more. It also is a fun place to bring out-of-town guests as you explore the Market House Square area together.
The Art Guild of Paducah is a non-profit organization serving the community since 2009. We exist for the promotion of the visual arts and for artists in all mediums in Paducah and the surrounding region, as well as expansion of art education through programs and events. Art Guild members support this mission through financial support and through active volunteer opportunities with Art Guild events, educational activities, and community programs.
