Laissez les bon temps rouler!

Mardi Gras is a fun-filled evening of music, food and fun to support Mercy Health Foundation Lourdes. Proceeds from the upcoming event help Mercy Health improve clinical areas and provide excellence in care through technology, and facility upgrades.

This annual fundraiser will be held in the Carson Center in downtown Paducah. The festivities are on fat Tuesday, March 5, at 6pm. Back by popular demand for 2019 the night’s musical entertainment will be Lew Jetton & 61 South. They always keep the party hopping with hot blues and southern rock.

Guests can satisfy their Cajun cravings with gourmet treats prepared and served by popular restaurants and caterers from throughout the region. The 19 food vendors will serve dishes and samples that include Cajun cuisine, tasty appetizers,"King cake”, gourmet coffee and assorted desserts.

As always, Mardi Gras masks and beads will be available for all attendees. This year, be sure to look for specialty Mardi Gras beads, including a limited supply of University of Kentucky beads, available throughout the night.

Funds to Assist Patients

“Mardi Gras and All That Jazz supports the greatest needs of Mercy Health,” said Jessica Toren, Mercy Health Foundation Lourdes President. “We are blessed to have the support of the community and we look forward to hosting a fantastic Mardi Party for our supporters. Proceeds from the upcoming event help us improve clinical areas and provide excellence in care through technology, and facility upgrades.”

Past Mardi Gras dollars have provided funding for new pediatric rooms for our smallest patients and funding for an Epilepsy Monitoring Unit. Proceeds from the event have also provided the hospital with tomosynthesis: state-of-the-art 3D breast cancer detection technology and a pediatric intubation device for the emergency department. Proceeds have also contributed to concussion testing for young athletes, blood clot busting technology, iPads for inpatient use, and the Lourdes Center for Sleep Disorders. It has also supplemented the Patient Mission Fund that is dedicated to helping patients in crisis.

Individual tickets will be sold at the door for $50. Corporate sponsorships are still available for $2,500 or $1,500, with the added benefit of reserved seating and special gifts. To arrange a sponsorship or purchase tickets, call Mercy Health Foundation Lourdes at 270.415.3992 or visit
