Tymeless Hearts is a nonprofit dedicated to help families affected by congenital heart defects. It was originally founded by Beth Brown to honor the memory of her son Ethan Connor. He was born with a congenital heart defect - hypo-plastic left heart syndrome (basically half a heart). He went to Heaven at only three months of age.

Tymeless Hearts was set up to honor the memory of many heart angels and many heart warriors. Along the way they have been blessed to help families with anything from care packages and Christmas/birthday gifts, to bills and car repairs – whatever they can do to assist during a difficult time.

This Saturday, May 4, they are holding their 6th annual 5K run/walk. It’s being held at Murray State University’s General Services building which is located on Chestnut Street in Murray. (Thank you to Alpha Gamma Delta for sponsoring this year’s run so that it could held on MSU’s campus.)

Check in and late registration will start at 8 am. The run will start at 8:30 am. There is no fee to run, but donations to help families of children with congenital heart defects are greatly appreciated. Everyone must sign a waiver prior to participating in the event. iSupport“I am very excited for this year’s 5K!” Said, Tymeless Hearts Executive Director, Beth Brown. “The first year that we decided to host a 5K we honored the memory of my son Ethan, and held the event on May 3rd which is his birthday. Every year since we have chosen another heart angel or warrior to honor, but it’s always a Saturday close to his birthday.”

“I think Ethan is definitely smiling down from Heaven every year at how we celebrate his birthday. This year’s event is free to participate in - plus everyone is registered for some amazing door prizes.”

Awards and door prizes will be handed out after everyone has completed the 5K. A few of the main door prizes anyone can win Saturday include gift certificates to Captain D’s of Murray, Mayfield, and Paducah. A Mary Kay gift card donated by Chaka Burress and a gift certificate to lessons donated by Sandra and Kailey’s Dance Studio in Murray. Brown says she’s looking forward to seeing who all wins these wonderful prizes.

This is the 6th annual 5K and the event will include a retrospective, looking back over the past five years and re-honoring the warriors, and angels that have been helped during that time. These will include heart angels Ethan and Jocey, as well as heart warriors Madison, Addi, and Nash.
