New Pathways is one of Western Kentucky’s best kept secrets. Their central office and girls’ home are located in Melber at 311 Shaw Road. They also operate a boys’ home in Hickory and an Outreach Office in Paducah.
Their Annual Campus Picnic will be held on July 28 this year. Join them for free food, games, face-painting, a bounce house, a petting zoo, ice cream, and more! The Campus Picnic is the perfect opportunity to tour New Pathways' residential group homes where they serve families in crisis by providing 24/hour care for children at no cost to their clients.
New Pathways strives to fulfill their mission to minister to the physical, social, emotional, and spiritual needs of at-risk children in a Christ-like atmosphere. They offer a safe and loving home to children whose families are in crisis and are at-risk for trauma, abuse, or neglect.
Many families struggle with poverty, addiction, incarceration, and other traumatic events that cause children to be displaced, homeless, or vulnerable to abuse and neglect. New Pathways offers a free and voluntary place for children while parents or guardians can improve their circumstances and get back on their feet. Children benefit from a stable home, a warm bed, balanced meals, help in school, counseling and therapy, extracurricular activities, and spiritual guidance.
If you miss their picnic, call their office at 270.674.6061 to schedule a campus tour for you or a group and learn more about this local ministry that impacts so many children and families.
