Small Business Saturday is a day to celebrate and support the small independently-owned businesses that help boost local economies such as Paducah’s. It’s held right before the Thanksgiving holidays. Once again this year, Paducah’s historic downtown will be transformed into a Victorian Christmas wonderland for the day. Everyone is invited to join in the Dickens of a Christmas celebration this November 24. There will be carol singing, Christmas lights, and people strolling in Victorian era costumes - all to get you in the holiday spirit.

From 10 am until 4 pm all of the downtown shops, boutiques and restaurants will be decked out in their Dickens Best with a host of shopping specials. Be sure to get there early so you can see Santa and make a grand appearance. He will arrive downtown by Victorian carriage, travelling from the Grand Lodge at 5th Street to the gazebo at 10 am.

Horse-drawn carriages will circle Market House Square, carrying shoppers the old-fashioned way, past merchants' windows adorned with beautiful holiday decorations, local artisan shops, and delicious treats. Children will also have the opportunity to have snow princesses join the ride!
