The holidays are a time for old traditions and shared goodwill. The Paducah Kiwanis Club Annual Charity Auction checks both those boxes. This year is also special because they are celebrating their 80th year! Combine Holiday spirit, charity, with long-standing tradition such as this auction, and it’s sure to be a fun time. The Annual Christmas Auction is one of the most fun and exciting fundraisers of the year!
The event will offer both live and silent auction items, hors d’oeuvres, and a fun and festive atmosphere. Organizers have secured more than 100 auction items including an Indianapolis Colts helmet signed by Andrew Luck, Peyton Manning, Reggie Wayne, Marshall Faulk, Marvin Harrison, Edgerrin James, Eric Dickerson, Dallas Clark and Adam Vinatieri!
You can also bid on a framed 16 x 20 Star Wars photo signed by Harrison Ford (Han Solo), Mark Hamill (Luke Skywalker), Carrie Fisher (d. 12/27/2016) (Princess Leis), David Prowse (Darth Vader), Frank Oz, Billy Dee Williams (Lando Calrissian), John Williams (Composer) and George Lucas (Director).
Not interested in sports or movie memorabilia? How about a framed “Suit & Tie” sheet music and Poster signed by Justin Timberlake and Jay Z.?! Yep, you can bid on that too.
Tickets are available!
The auction will be held at the Carson Center on Tuesday, December 4. It will begin at 6 pm and end around 9 pm. Tickets are $45 and can be purchased by calling the Carson Center Box Office at 270.450.4444 or online at thecarsoncenter.org. Reserved tables are also available for $400.

It all goes back into the community and provides funds which include but are not limited to Paducah Day Nursery, Oscar Cross Boys & Girls Club, Beyond Uganda, Market House Theater, Carson Center, the Moses Basket, WKCTCS Programs, Family Service Society, American Cancer Society, University of Kentucky School of Engineering, Murray State University/Louise Mandrell Benefit Scholarship Fund, and Project Graduation at various schools.
Accepting New Members!
Kiwanis does a lot of great work, and behind every scholarship check that makes a student’s college dream a reality is a group of dedicated members who work non-stop. The Paducah Kiwanis Club wants to invite more people to be involved in this organization.
They meet weekly on Thursdays from 12 - 1 pm at Broadway United Methodist Church at 701 Broadway in downtown Paducah. Visitors and prospective members are welcome and encouraged to get involved with this philanthropic group. First time visitors get a free lunch! For more information on their meetings and principles, visit paducahkiwanis.com or their Facebook page.
Kiwanis Club of Paducah
For almost 80 years, The Kiwanis Club of Paducah has supported the community through generous donations. The Paducah club was founded on January 20, 1939 under the statues and bylaws of Kiwanis International. The club's mission statement mirrors that of Kiwanis International: Their purpose is to improve the quality of life for children and families worldwide, but in particular, those within their communities. The Kiwanis Club of Paducah supports children through scholarships, grants, and donations to organizations such as Oscar Cross Boys and Girls Club of Paducah, and the Paducah Day Nursery.
